CARPET WATER DAMAGE EXTRACTION DRY OUT

Sources of category 1 water may include:broken water supply lines, sink overflows with no contaminants, appliance malfunctions involving water supply lines, falling rain water, broken toilet tanks, Roof leaks, and toilet bowls that do not contain contaminants or additives.

1. The first thing we do is to move all your items up and off the wet carpet. Mover items to a safe and dry place.
2. Start extracting the water from the top of the carpet. Carefully pull the carpet up. & Pad must be removed and properly disposed of. Carpet that is saved must be cleaned by thoroughly HEPA both sides with hot water extraction to remove the mold spores and bacteria in the carpet. Also floor will be cleaned and disinfected as well
3. AIRFLOW CIRCULATION -We use Turbo Dryers: are designed to deliver a high volume laminar airflow over or under wet surfaces for speed drying. Airflow speeds the rate of evaporation, helps prevent mold growth, and reduces the risk of secondary damage.
4. Normally takes 48 hours to dry the floor and carpet then install the new pad and carpet.

CARPET WATER DAMAGE MOLD

Once the mold damaged by the water in the carpet has taken hold, there is often no cleaning. You can wash your carpet with shampoo, but that will not eliminate all the mold. Also, if the carpet has been wet for more than 48 hours, the floor and the padding under the carpet probably also have mold. If you do not act in the next 48 hours it is probably that you will have to change the carpet. This is another of those situations in which you can try cleaning on your own, but it would be wise to call a professional to take care of the work.
